Will The Buffalo Bills Make The Playoffs?
Everyone wants to know if the Bills will make the playoffs. Let’s take a look and find out. The first thing we need to look at is their current record. They’re 4-2 and they have beaten some good teams, especially the Patriots. They play in the AFC East, which consists of the Patriots, Jets and Dolphins. The Patriots are 5-1 and will likely win the division. The Jets are 3-3 and are likely to fade into oblivion. The Dolphins are 0-5 and a non-factor. The reason the Patriots will win the division are because of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Not only that, but they own the Jets and they love to pound on the Dolphins, so that’s 4 wins in the bag right there. It’s also highly likely that they will avenge their loss to the Bills when they play in New England for the last game of the season. The point here is that the Bills will not win the division. However, they will have a solid shot at one of the 2 wildcard spots. Let’s take a look at their remaining schedule and predict what is most likely to happen.
The Bills have had excellent timing this season. For example, they just lost a nail-biter against the New York Giants. In most cases, this can lead to downward momentum. However, for the Bills, they have a Bye. You always want a Bye after a bad game. This will also give the Bills an extra week of rest prior to playing the Redskins. The Bills have a lot going for them in this game. They’re coming off a Bye, they’re at home and the Redskins have a QB controversy. Chalk this up as a win, which will make the Bills 5-2.
The next game is at home against the Jets. This is a tough game to predict because they’re division rivals who often play each other tough. The Bills are good at home and the Jets are not nearly as good as they were the past two seasons. Marc Sanchez will not be able to keep up with Ryan Fitzpatrick. Chalk up another win for the Bills, which makes them 6-2.
They will then travel to Dallas. This doesn’t bode well for the Bills. They will have to travel more than halfway across the country, they will be facing a team that will have built solid momentum by that point in the season and Rob Ryan’s defense will create turnovers against an inexperienced offense. The Bills will be 6-3.
The following game is at the Dolphins. Easy win. 7-3.
The Bills then travel to New York to play the Jets. Expect the Jets to win at home. The Bills will have a bad aura from losing a game in that stadium earlier in the season. 7-4.
The Bills will bounce back against the Titans. This should be a close game, but the Titans will not enjoy playing in the cold weather. The fans will also be a big factor because they will smell the playoffs. 8-4.
The Bills will lose at the Chargers. 8-5.
They will return home and win against the Broncos. The Broncos will keep it close with a run-style offense against a weak defense, but the Bills should pull it out. 9-5.
The final game is against the Patriots, which the Bills will lose. Final Record: 9-6.
The Bills will be right on the border for the wildcard, but based on a weak AFC this season, it should be enough to earn them the final Wildcard spot.
